That was a fun episode I suppose, but Jesus Christ, Chaozu shouldn't be able to force Goku to struggle getting out of his psychokinesis. He couldn't do s*** to Nappa, so there's no way he's holding back Goku. Also, why is Goku fighting in base, when he believes Monaka is stronger than Hit? The writers don't seem to put an ounce of thought into these things. |

Well they really do if you think about it see Vegeta as self motivated. They only know Goku/Vegeta since they met them. In that time Goku was cocky and thought he was the best there was,had to be humbled, got power from others over earning it on his own, and only asked to be trained after he heard Vegeta was being trained. Vegeta on the other hand fought Beerus with nothing but his own power, he willingly asked to be trained by Gods, and he surpassed or at the least got even with a who took power from others. It's easy to see why Beerus/Whis who only have known Goku for a short time see him as needing motivation compared to Vegeta who is self motivated and at the very lest won't allow Goku to leave him behind |

Lol Chiaotzu's powers shouldn't of worked on Goku at all. Pretty good episode overall the animation looked good too. Glad that Goku didn't figure out that Monaka was weak, I like that everyone else found out though. |

Goku is Vegeta's motivation. Goku working better with motivation sort of does make sense, considering he had many masters and training throughout Z but the time he made least progress (base power wise) was in the 7 years he was dead, when he had no challenges. Same for Vegeta. I realise Beerus and Whis are stronger than him but they're also Gods, perhaps Goku doesn't know if its possible to catch a God. Vegeta was saying that they'd both basically reached their limit, which is obviously not going to be the case. As for Hit, he wasn't superior to Goku, they were about even, so it's not a far off goal to reach. For some random, short, large nipped alien to be able to take out Hit in one punch makes Goku think he's ridiculously far behind a mere mortal from another part of his universe. Beerus getting excited at the prospect of a fight but then tossing Vegeta and Piccolo aside like they didn't matter was annoying. Why wouldn't he be excited to fight all three? Why only Goku? |

Except Hit was superior to Goku. He was winning the match and he was holding back |

Yes but not by much. Goku now believes there's a fighter who can take Hit out in one punch. |

Goku hit his limit back before the Cell Games too, and in a mere 12 years, he reached the realm of God power. Limits mean nothing to him. Even back when he thought that Freeza's power was insurmountable, he didn't give up. He's never lost motivation before, and the fact that he literally defied death and healed himself as a SSJG should've told Beerus and Whis all they needed to know. |

I think Chaozu was able to hold back Gokuu a bit because Gokuu was relaxed, just walking. |

So is God power something you have to train to specifically achieve, or do you just get God power when you become strong enough? Goku seemed surprised "Monaka" had God ki, but if it was as simple as getting past a certain threshold, Goku should have expected Monaka to have God ki, thinking he was stronger than himself. |

That's sort of my point. He hit his limit at the Cell games and the subsequent 7 years of training in Otherworld made him a little bit stronger than Gohan and Cell were...in 7 years. Yes he achieved ssj3 but that's just a transformation, his base power wasn't significantly higher. Then Beerus comes and Goku has to surpass those limits by far. Then Vegeta and Freeza spend a few moths training and catch up to Goku. It all makes the 7 years between Cell and Boo when Goku and Vegeta were training laughably pathetic in terms of their gains. They didn't have a specific challenger to surpass. Edited by superperfectnerd, May 9 2016, 04:05 PM.
